so, anyone who has spent a great amount of time with me probably knows about the character Dr. Tran and Lone Sauasage Productions/Mondo Media. Anywho, they just came out with a new three part cartoon that i love called "100% Ice". All three parts are great, but the third part is my personal favorite. enjoy, and check out all of their cartoons at www.lonesausage.com

NSFW because of language and... balls?

I know its been a while, and i need to post more often. i've gotten really lazy.

anyway, thought i'd share another gem from one of my favorite flash animators, Chris Voigt (SexuaLobster).

He recently did a 7 episode series, Angry Dog, with aniBOOM on youtube. the whole thing is pretty awesome...but there's one episode in particular that i love. thankfully it's one that has almost nothing to do with the main storyline...so it's funny without really having to know any of the characters or back story.

anywho, here you go..."Angry Dog Episode 5: Be My Bitch"
(probably NSFW due to language)

the rest of the series can be easily accessed at www.greasymoose.com

So, one of my favorite visual artists is Jeremy Fish, his work can be found at Silly Pink Bunnies. He apparently lives in my neighborhood (or, at least he did not too long ago), although I have yet to run across him (I see his artwork around constantly...which is awesome). Imagine my delight when I found out a while back that he and one of my favorite musical artists Aesop Rock collaborated on his album artwork, and two really awesome music videos.

The more well known of the two is Aesop Rock's kickass single "None Shall Pass"

But the one I really like is "Pigs", which features a speeded-up time-lapse film of Jeremy Fish creating one of his awesome pieces, i'm assuming for an installation or mural.

so, i love this guy...and i can't believe i haven't made a post all about him yet. Cyriak Harris is a  British animator/artist who has a rather distinct and strange style that i often have a hard time describing. his talents and strange style have been getting him freelance jobs lately in advertising...but his personal work is more interesting in my opinion.

his most well known piece is his "animation mix", a compilation of very short animations. this is NSFW for weirdness and gross content, but don't let that deter you.

one of my favs of his (other than his animation mix) is his most recent work, called "MOO!"....it's essentially about mutating cows, awesome! probably NSFW for obvious reasons.

i don't post nearly as much as i should. but at least when i do, it's something generally awesome. like the following video.

the artist PES is fairly well known for their short stop-animation vids. their most well known work is probably "Roof Sex", and i'll post it here because it's pretty hilarious. it is definitely NSFW, but really only for the audio....and chairs having...sex? whatever, just watch it.

but the one i really want to share is a very recent release called "Western Spaghetti", and although not as funny as the prior vid, it's amazing to watch....the artistry is gorgeous. i love the bit where they dice a rubix cube...

this is an absolutely amazing animation by the artist MUTO, and was shot in Berlin and Sao Paulo. i've never seen a public mural-animation on this scale before, it seems to go on forever! this is a must-watch.

anyone who has been tuned into youtube at all over the last couple years has probably already seen Charlie the Unicorn, as it was a pretty big hit over there (even though the artist Jason Steele [TypeQueen] originally posted it to newgrounds.com and the popular youtube version was a rip). just last week TypeQueen submitted a sequel to newgrounds/youtube...and it's even funnier IMO.

don't expect either to make much sense...they're pretty funny though.

 and second:

(just FYI, from what i can tell SecretAgentBob on YouTube is TypeQueen from Newgrounds...and these are their official postings on youtube. Newgrounds, unfortunately, doesn't let you embed their videos)

...is a Norwegian YouTuber who has made some cool, weird, and even kinda graphic videos that have gotten him (temporarily) banned. however, i'm not all that interested in a bulk of his work... what really impresses me is his ability to edit random sounds and notes together into a song...and make it look pretty cool.

sooo, a while back, someone pointed out the Brawndo commercials to me on youtube. they are pretty fuckin' funny...especially if they are/were in fact played on TV (i don't really know, i dont watch tv). if you haven't watched them yet, here they are:

now, last week i was pointed in the direction of a parody of Brawndo, called "PowerThirst" on collegehumor.com. the Brawndo ads are pretty funny, but these are fucking hilarious:

between x-mas and coming down with the flu (or whatever it is that's kept me in bed for 3+ days), i've been neglecting this mess here.
here are some really weird cartoons by the Russian animator Ivan Maximov. you can find several of his cartoons on youtube if you look hard enough, they're spread out a bit. his stuff tends to be pretty tame in content, and even child-like at times....but they're often pretty trippy and ethereal as well. the music he uses is also awesome. i really enjoy them....

heres a few of my favs:
"Fru 89 From Left to Right"

"Wind Along the Coast"

"Provincial School"

Brad Neely is a genius, pure and simple. he's the creator of the series "Babycakes" and "The Professor Brothers", both of which are basically animated comics...and all of them are hilarious. One of his first comics that got attention was Washington, which was in a recent run of Spike and Mike's twisted film festival, and made the rounds on youtube. now he seems pretty established over at superdeluxe.com, and has these great new series that he's been updating regularly.

heres one of my favorite Babycakes episodes: Group Therapy

this awesome, short cartoon by Shea McFarland is hilarious; a great parody of the fine-art world today. i can especially relate to stage 5: emulation, having spent some time in "art school"....i use that term loosely. i'm totally the kid that gets smacked in the head....you'll see, just watch!

i discovered the work of Newgrounds.com user Sexual-Lobster quite some time ago, and recently he has been posting a select few of his cartoons on youtube as well (which is nice, because they're easier to share here on LJ). his cartoons tend to be pretty off the wall, and although they often contain running characters, there is no real sense of continuity.

the cartoon i'm sharing here is called "House of Squid", and is one of my favs by him. all of his work can be found at www.greasymoose.com. This is definitely NSFW, btw.

a friend pointed this clip out to me a while back. Rollerman, aka Jean-Yves Blondeau, is a French designer who created a "roller-suit". yes, essentially it's a suit with a bunch of strategically placed wheels that allows the wearer to roller blade in all sorts of crazy positions while maintaining a pretty break-neck speed.

it is SUPER cool to watch him in action, check it out:

...moving right along...here's a great music video i thought i should share. i'm biased a little because i really enjoy the artist, Fujiya & Miyagi, so of course i love their music videos. i thought this was was pretty cool though; an animation using dice! i'm sure that most of it was animated digitally as opposed to stop-motion, but i still think it's pretty awesome and fun to watch.
